Read 2 Samuel 24:16-25 NOTE: both “a” and “c” are correct and supported by Scripture.
NOTE: In Genesis, God instructed Abraham to move to Canaan, a land He promised to give to Abraham’s offspring (12:7). While Abraham was living in this Promised Land, God put him to the test by asking him to sacrifice his son Isaac, a story that parallels the New Testament story when God offered up His Son, Jesus. Abraham was told the sacrifice of Isaac would happen on Mount Moriah (22:1-2)
NOTE: while the high place (mountain) where Solomon builds the Temple on is not mentioned in 2 Samuel, this story has a parallel story in 2 Chronicles and the place where David bought the threshing floor is called Mount Moriah (3:1)
